Hiking - Walking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Cloudy start then sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: 7 miles (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
Wednesday 8th May - walk *** – Around Felixstowe including fun with
Maeva – cloudy start then sunny.
As it was cloudy start to the day I drove down to Felixstowe Ferry hoping
it would be misty and still but was disappointed so headed to the dock view
point to see if MCS Maeva (a container ship that shares our Granddaughters
name) there was a few ships in but I was nnot sure if Maeva was there as it
was moored too far away! The tide was pretty low on the River Orwell so
took a few pics and headed for home. No plans for today so when we got a
message asking if we could have Maeva for the morning we jumped at the
chance. So after a quick breakfast we walked around to pick up Maeva with
the sun starting to break through. After a chat we took Maeva to the woods
at the Grove but she fell asleep but woke when we stopped at our bench in
Abbey Grove. She was a little quiet to start with but she soon cheered up
when she got a rich tea biscuit inn each hand:) Again we had a lovely time
including some more lovely pics in the buttercups, then it was time to take
Maeva home, her mum Jay had a builder visit so we took Maeva for a swing.
Home for a quick lunch in the now sunny back garden before heading to our
old friend Mary for a chat and cuppa. Then back along the clifftop meaning
we had walked 7 miles!
